2021 Type 1 Silver Eagle NGC MS-70 Last Day of Production Signed by John Mercanti

In 2021 the United States Mint changed the iconic American Silver Eagle design for the first time in 35 years. Only the final 150,000 coins struck on April 8th, 2021, are eligible for Last Day of Production certification, and only a tiny fraction of those coins have the full strike and flawless surfaces required to attain the perfect MS70 grade that collectors prize above all others!

Especially since it is one of the few coins to be hand signed by John Mercanti, the 12^th chief engraver of the United States Mint, and the designer of the beloved heraldic eagle design that appeared on every Silver Eagle since 1986!
